Air Crash Investigation: Air France Flight 296 Part 1
An Airbus A320 operated by Air France fails to regain altitude and crashes after performing a flyby during an airshow at Mulhouse-Habsheim Airport, killing 3 passengers
Guy Negre of MDI’s Air Car engine that runs on compressed air. Emissions are only filtered air that’s cleaner than outside air. 300 bars of pressure in carbon-fibre & kevlar air tanks. Car can travel at 110 km/hr and has a 150 km driving range. Refilling can be done by plugging in at home or at a special high-pressure air station. Dual-energy models use small amounts of bio-fuels that can extend the range to over 1400 kms. Pollution free vehicle that produces zero emissions. When the car stops at traffic lights, the engine stops so no energy is lost because there’s no idling. Go to www.catvolution.com for more information. There are many more 2008 New York Auto Show videos with MDI’s OneCAT at ca.youtube.com

@chadsani Pitot tubes froze and the indicated airspeed was way lower than the real airspeed, pilots accelerated and broke the plane
what the hell happened 2 AF447??
thanks for uploading. appreciate it.
@spilot14
And Airbus is known to cover-up any negligent part they may have in addition to flight-crew negligence; when those two collide…planes go down and people sometimes die?
But to be fair.. here in America (historically speaking) Boeing and others (did) does the same in covering-up flaws in their own planes too.
@charlieiscool1000 Pilots tend to be pragmatic like race car drivers..that (theirs)confidence/decadence/complacency (in machinery or percieved ability in self) sometimes leads to crashes and people dying
only five minutes turns into a disaster?!?!
the polite was abit of an idiot for flying that low with its nose up its not an F18 its a fucking airliner it was a bad idea to do that
@fightingtemeraire I thought that until I heard him speak. The guy’s a crank.
Considering there were was a crash at all, and that there were casualties, I think that neither the pilots nor the FBW did an amazing job.
considering only three people died, I think fly by wire did an amazing job……..
7.08 aww So nice
…. i like small planes too
@spilot14 Generally speaking ACI hires crap actors, in my opinion. I doubt its a highly funded program. Any extra money they get seems to go on CGI which is probably more important
I finally realized how awesome the super actors are…
Comparing to them, these actors in the documentary just SUCKS. I can’t even believe I watched it…their acting is horrible.
I’m amazed they actually got Cpt Asseline to give an interview. Cant wait to see the rest!
AWESOME!
first view is me???? LOL. Its still awesome.
@mikehanoo33 “These cars can be designed to go 5 to 500 miles between fillups”
FIVE HUNDRED MILES!! yeah right Towing ten40 ft shipping containers full of dive tanks behind your car might be a tad impractical. LOL
@mikehanoo33 “which increased their range-between-fill-ups 60%” Whee five kms became 8kms
Air locos were a poor and distant cousin to Fireless locos. Air powered locos had VERY limited applications in mining
@mikehanoo33 “pneumatic locomotives that were available commercially from 1890 to 1930, stop at air stations to refuel” and were only used in mines where their none flammable working and easy access to compressed air compensated for their hideously short range . As soon as half way decent battery electric locos were available they disappeared. Air cars never ran on the roads as I.C. aced them. Only loony tunes and con artists tried selling “air cars”
@fizzguts Conventional air cars, such as the pneumatic locomotives that were available commercially from 1890 to 1930, stop at air stations to refuel. These cars can be designed to go 5 to 500 miles between fillups, depending on the efficiency of the system, the size and pressure of the tanks, and the ingenuity of the designer.
The European Three-Stage Air Locomotive, 1912-1930
Hodges’ patents were improved upon by European engineers who increased the number of expansion stages to three and used interheaters before all three stages. The coal mines of France and Germany and other countries such as Belgium were swarming with these locomotives, which increased their range-between-fill-ups 60% by the addition of ambient heat. .
It might have become obvious to the powers-that-be that these upstarts were a threat to the petroleum takeover that was well under way in the transportation industry; after world war two the term “air engine” was never used in compressed air textbooks and air powered locomotives, if used at all, were usually equipped with standard, inefficient air motors.
@hotmichael3358 “The french government owns the oil company of France and the Renault factory making the air car , no conflict of interest there .”
Nice fantasy what else are you making up the one I got the biggest laugh from was some plonker claiming his next door neighbor owned one. But your delusion is close
@mikehanoo33 “it would appear this engine had plenty of range” FIVE MILES is plenty of range! Tell you what you find one INDEPENDENT TEST confirming MDI’s lies OPPS! claims and I’ll remove my posts and sing their praises.

@mikehanoo33″For half a century the air-powered locomotive was a serious contender for the top spot in transportation”
Horse shit. The air engine had a BRIEF flowering in the 1900’s and apart from underground mining it died as its’ range was pathetic and it’s efficiency was and still is horrible. In MDI’s ONLY published TEST this piece of crap went 5 miles. Which is about what the calculations say it should. Google the museum of retrotech
The term “air engine” disappeared from engineering textbooks after the 1930s and the second world war. Gas engines had been perfected, the oil industry was established, and gas was cheap.
@Voxson1 For half a century the air-powered locomotive was a serious contender for the top spot in transportation because of its obvious advantages: simplicity, safety, economy, and cleanliness. Air engines were commercially available and used routinely, first as metropolitan street transit and later for haulage in mines . Just a fraud eh does not work , or maybe we all just got stupid !
@Voxson1 Oh I am sure they have heard of him and all the other’s that have developed this technology many years ago , people that add new ideas and inventions to already existing technology always do there research into what has been done and what works and what does not , let me guess the trains Mr. Hodges invented with air power were replaced with a petroleum fueled trains .
@mikehanoo33 MDI clearly have not heard of Mr Hodges and perhaps if they integrated his invention into their air car the thing would be able to meet the grandiose promises that they have been making about it and its supposed 200 mile range. If it’s been around since the 1890s then they could use it freely as the patent has expired. They then could release the car to be sold on the open market and people would buy it in droves and it would cease to be the referred to as a ’scam’.
@mikehanoo33 Well actually MDI has been taking investor money and promising to release the air car on the open market since beginning of the decade, and it still hasn’t managed to fulfil its promise. Why becuase the technology doesn’t work as they promise and if it did ‘air cars’ would be out there right now on the streets. So people actually do know what the truth is, which is the MDI air car is a fraud. Perhaps you should contact MDI and advise them of Mr Hodges interheater invention.
No of course the oil companies would never suppress compressed air car technology that has been working since 1896 ! This is not new technology and it would appear this engine had plenty of range , why did the MDI project get attacked by so many media sources and now by many armchair scientists , that believe the propaganda .
The H. K. Porter Compound Air Locomotives, 1896-1930
Inventor Charles B. Hodges became the first and only air car inventor in history to see his invention become a lasting commercial success. His engine was two-stage and employed an interheater between the two piston stages to warm the partially expanded compressed air with the surrounding atmosphere. A substantial gain in range-between-fill-ups was thus proven attainable with no cost for the extra fuel, which was provided by the sun
The french government owns the oil company of France and the Renault factory making the air car , no conflict of interest there .
@mikehanoo33 I am not saying that oil companies are not at all responsible for the demise of some of these ideas, the NIMH and chevron texaco has credible supporting evidence. However it seems these conspiracy theorists will “automatically default” to it’s the fault of the oil company whenever some scam idea doesn’t hit the market. The air car and HHO electrolysis cells are ideas which in reality do not work to deliver on their promise, it’s not oil company suppression as is being put across.
As far as the air car is concerned , from my research it feels like the idea was over hyped and people made untrue statements about the range , this does not discount all the other viable working alternative energy systems such as bio fuels and electric , which are much cleaner then petroleum products , its time to end the dirty toxic oil game !
@Voxson1 Not a shred of evidence , are you high , we could fill many books with the evidence against the oil companies , have you seen “who killed the electric car” ? Are you aware of chevron texaco buying the NIMH battery from GM and then suing Toyota for using it in there rav 4 back in 2003 ? Still they will not allow the larger NIMH batteries to be used . This is just one small part of there corrupt ways .
@mikehanoo33 More accurately what happened was that the technology couldn’t deliver on its manufacturers claims, hence it didn’t make it to production. I think most people are aware that the oil company conspiracy is a sham made up by people who enjoy putting across these conspiracy theories despite there not being a shred of evidence to support their claims. One person says “it’s all becuase of a conspiracy” and the rest just follow along like dumb idiots.
@Topazman12
In the ONLY published test it went FIVE miles. End of story. The 100km range is a BULLSHIT claim by MDI.
But hey find an independent test confirming MDI’s lies opps claims and I’ll sing their praises.

After all these years, are they saying that Japan is building this car while North America does nothing but offer bail outs?
Even if the air car is only used on a limited basis in town it could still be a part of the solution . anything but petroleum products !
@TheAdler83 Ya wanna know what happened , its called the slimy oil companies , they buy out and suppress anyone that will infringe upon there little ol phrofit margin , these sick slimy crimanals are now killing are planet on a massive scale and most people are still NOT demading that clean technology be promoted !
